Paul, These are good gesture ideas and have good stylization. The line weight on some of them gets hairy and uneven. Try putting a longer, confident mark down and live with it. If you want to go back over it, be more accurate and thoughtful about its thickness and what a darker line means in a location of the gesture. Does it emphasize stressed weight ? A shaded side of the contour ? Ground your poses, too, by providing some surroundings. A 'floaty' form can contribute to gesture being lost.
